Employability
Throughout The JCB Academy, we instil a business environment. Learners are expected to abide by this in their behaviour, dress and attitude. Careers is an important aspect of academy life and throughout their time here, learners receive lessons on different elements of employability, such as interview skills, writing a CV and what the world of work looks like. We ask learners to carry out careers action planning as well as self-assessments so they can reflect on their skills and development points.
We would ensure that any learners attending work experience or industry placements have the right attitude and are fully prepared for this. Before entering the work place, learners will have a focus for placement and are instructed to keep a log of their efforts. They will also reflect on their time and development once this is completed.
