The Women into Engineering event at The JCB Academy is a free, fun, informative and interactive day for Year 7 girls. The event is part of the UKs ‘Women into Engineering’ initiative, designed to raise the awareness of women in engineering and the career opportunities available in the industry. Mr. Caine, Marketing and PR Manager at The JCB Academy said, “The event gives us a great opportunity to explain what engineering is, what career opportunities there are, and also to break the stigma that engineering is only about getting your hands dirty and fixing engines.”
Girls who attend the event will participate in engineering based challenges guided by female engineers, have lunch and a tour of The JCB Academy’s state-of-the-art facilities.
