Daily PE Challenges
You need to maintain a plank position for as long as you can. Time yourself and send me the results. You are trying to keep your body in a straight line like a plank so do not raise your hips too much or drop them too much as this will give your core muscles a rest and is therefore not allowed. See if you can beat Mrs Newman (1 minute 20 seconds).
You have thirty seconds to see how many times you can throw a rolled up pair of socks into an empty bin or bucket that is three metres away. You can only use one pair of socks and have to collect them each time before returning to your starting position. See if you can beat Mr Hales’ score of three!
The challenge is to complete as many press ups as you can in 30 seconds.
If you have to do them with your knees on the floor then you need to half your total score when you send me your results.

Handstand Challenge
There are three levels to this challenge:
The challenge is to hold one of the above for as long as possible. You are allowed as many attempts as you want.
See if you can beat the teachers: 20 second handstand, 30 second headstand, 60 second wall handstand
You need to be particularly careful doing this challenge.
Be aware of your surroundings so if you come down you don’t land on anything and know your limits.
If possible, get someone to spot you (to stand next to you to help and support you if you lose balance).
The challenge is to complete as many toe taps as possible in 30 seconds.
If you don’t have a ball, you can use something else like a stair.
See if you can beat Mr Hales’ score of 81 in 30 seconds.
The challenge is to complete as many sit ups as you can in 30 seconds.
You can do them with your feet underneath something (such as a chair of the sofa) or with someone standing on your feet.
If you do them without any support (like Mr Sturgess), they are much harder and you need to double your total score when you send me your results.

The challenge is to maintain a wall sit for as long as you can.

You are trying to keep your knees and hips at 90 degrees which means your thighs are horizontal and in line with the floor.
See if you can beat Mrs Newman’s score of 7 seconds!
The challenge is to see how many times you can juggle three balls before dropping one.
You can have as many attempts as you want and can count every throw.
See if you can beat Mr Morgan who did 85!
Wall Keepy-Uppies Challenge
There are two levels to this challenge:
Wall Keepy Uppies (with a bounce)
Wall Keepy Uppies (with no bounce)
The challenge is to see how many times you can kick the ball against the wall.
If you do the easier version, the ball can only bounce on the floor once after hitting the wall. See if you can beat Mr Hales’ score of 21!
If you do the harder version, the ball cannot bounce on the floor at all after hitting the wall. See if you can beat Mr Hales’ score of 17!
The challenge is to complete as many squats as you can in 30 seconds.
See if you can beat Mr Morgan’s score of 29 squats in 30 seconds!
The challenge is to complete as many reverse lunges as you can in 30 seconds.
See if you can beat Mr Sturgess’ score of 27 lunches in 30 seconds!
The challenge is to complete as many Jumping Jacks as possible in 30 seconds.
See if you can beat Mr Hales’ score of 43 in 30 seconds.
The challenge is to see how far you can jump from a standing position.
You can have as many attempts as you want.
Mark where you land each time and then measure your best jump to the back of where your foot lands.
See if you can beat Mr Hales’ best jump of 1.74m, Mrs Newman’s best jump of 1.78m or Mr Morgan’s jump of 2.35m!
The challenge is to see how many lengths you can complete in 1 minute. You need to place 6 items on the floor in a line with a meter gap between each item.

The challenge is to see how many mountain climbers you can complete in 30 seconds.
See if you can beat Mr Morgan’s score of 97!
The challenge is to see how many tuck jumps you can do in 1 minute.
See if you can beat Mr Sturgess’ score of 45!
The challenge is to see how many shuttle runs you can complete using side-steps in 1 minute. You need to cover 4 metres on each length.
See if you can beat Mrs Newman’s score of 26 lengths!
The challenge is to see how many tricep dips you can do in 30 seconds.

The challenge is to see how many times you can jump over the skipping rope in 30 seconds.

Hand Eye Coordination Challenge
The challenge is to see how many times you can throw the ball at a wall with one hand and catch it with the other. You must alternate which hand throws and which catches.
See if you can beat Mrs Newman’s score of 28!
The challenge is to see how many times you can pass the ball around your legs in a figure of eight.
See if you can beat Mr Hales’ score of 36!
The challenge is to see how many headers you can do before the ball hits the floor.
