The JCB Academy have been chosen to launch the North Staffordshire poppy appeal.
Learners at The JCB Academy have been working on producing commemorative poppies which relate to a family member or surname they have a connection to. The poppies (over 400 in total) were produced at the academy, laser cut from red perspex and then engraved with soldiers details. The poppies will be hung on steel wire from a purpose built visual display in the academy’s reception area. The display will be formally opened by Claire Rowcliffe (Head of UK Fundraising for the British Legion) on Friday, 28 October 2016.
