Day 13: Thursday 2nd March 2017
On Thursday, the annual motor racing event Clipsal 500 began. Yet again the temperature was forecast at an astonishing 38◦C! After an early start, our staff and learners made their way into the city where they were met by the Y12 Automotive learners ready for their day at Clipsal 500. Before entering the event, learners covered themselves in sunscreen and made sure they were in possession of several bottles of water.
Once in the event, learners were able to watch the Porsche Carrera Cup, the Adelaide Casino Stadium Super Trucks, the Aussie Racing Cars and many more vehicles whizz around the track on their practice run.
After an exciting and extremely hot day, learners then returned home to spend their final evening with their host families.
