The new apprentices at The JCB Academy recently participated in various team building activities as part of their induction day at Alton Castle. 12 apprentices took part, eight from Alpha Manufacturing and Bri-Stor Systems, two from Merlin Entertainments and two from Michelin Tyres.
One of the favourite activities was ‘crates’, where three nominated apprentices wearing climbing harnesses stand on plastic crates with the aim of stacking them as high as possible until they collapse. The other apprentices are responsible for keeping the ropes tight for when the apprentices fall off the crates.
