Curriculum Options

Due to the demands of the curriculum on offer, only one option exists for learners. Although we will attempt to ensure as many learners as possible undertake their first choice option, in the event of an option being very popular we will consider second choices. Therefore please carefully consider your second choice.

  • Business & Finance (GCSE)
  • Engineering Design (Level 2)*
  • Engineering Manufacture (Level 2)*
  • Physical Education (non-examined)
  • Practical Skills (non-examined)

The remainder of the curriculum is split up into pathways with options A to K available to be chosen by learners. These options are based primarily around triple science (separate sciences, worth three GCSEs) and combined science (worth two GCSEs), with one or two additional options available depending on the pathway chosen. In total learners can choose to do between eight and ten GCSE or equivalent qualifications depending on the science pathway and options chosen.
