Year 11 Learners Explore Apprenticeship Opportunities at The JCB Academy!
On Wednesday last week, our Year 11 learners had an exciting opportunity to visit The JCB Academy’s Apprenticeship Training Centre, gaining valuable insight into the hands-on experiences and skills our apprentices develop during their time with us.
As part of this special event, learners were given a guided tour of the workshops, where they could observe apprentices in action and see first-hand the cutting-edge engineering and manufacturing training taking place. The event aimed to support learners in exploring their post-16 options, whether they are still considering their next steps or have already set their sights on an apprenticeship pathway.
We were also pleased to welcome the Makita UK training team, who delivered an informative session on their industry-leading product line. Makita has recently partnered with The JCB Academy’s apprenticeship programme to supply high-quality tools for our workshops, ensuring apprentices have access to the latest technology as they develop their practical skills.
On Thursday we also welcomed JCB apprentices’ line managers, offering them the chance to see the progress and development of their apprentices. In addition, we were pleased to host key industry representatives, including:
- Max Jefferies, JCB Commercial Director
- Liam Brown, JCB HR Director
- Chris Briggs, JCB Global Health & Safety Director
We would like to thank everyone who attended, engaged in discussions, and contributed to making this event an insightful and inspiring experience for our learners. We look forward to supporting them as they shape their future careers!
