As part of World Mental Health Day (WMHD) our Learner Support Team have been raising awareness of mental health issues with our learners.
Through PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) lessons, delivered by The JCB Academy mentors, the focus has been on understanding and breaking down the stigma associated with mental health conditions compared with physical health needs.
The main message we are giving to our learners is that poor mental health can affect anyone at any time in their lives and that they should not suffer in silence but ask for help when they need it.
