As parents/carers will be aware, government guidance is for individuals to selfisolate in a situation where they have symptoms of the coronavirus, have a close family member with symptoms of the coronavirus or are a member of an ‘at risk’ group. Unfortunately, a significant number of our staff fall into these categories as of today at The JCB Academy
Clearly we are in extraordinary times. It has always been our aim to remain open, however given the level of staff absence and the developing situation, we are unable to provide classes for all learners.
Therefore we will not be open for Y9, Y10 and Y12 learners from tomorrow, Thursday, 19 March 2020. This is a developing situation and we will keep parents/carers informed via Schoolcomms, Facebook and our website if the situation changes.
Y11 and Y13 learners should continue to attend as normal.
