With a fresh outlook on the season we have taken on a coach from Burton Albion for our U16 football programme. A tough first game for The JCB Academy U16 against The de Ferrers Academy, Burton upon Trent. A well drilled side with a good history, an unsettled start allowed us to go down 2-0 early on and the score line stayed the same until half time.
Some great saves from The JCB Academy goalkeeper to keep it at 2-0. with some wise words from the Burton Albion coach at half-time, we quickly got back on track at 2-2 looking a lot stronger. Unfortunately we allowed ourselves to burn out at the final stages suffering a 4-2 defeat.
