The JCB Academy announces that its apprenticeship provision has received an ‘Outstanding’ rating in all categories, following a comprehensive Ofsted inspection conducted from 3 to 6 June 2025.
Ofsted acknowledged the expertise of tutors in effectively supporting apprentices, fostering their confidence and character and preparing them for the workplace. Inspectors noted that learners “develop mastery in highly sought-after skills” and praised tutors for providing apprentices with comprehensive, insightful information and personalised guidance. Apprentices were observed to consistently demonstrate exemplary attitudes toward their studies, with attendance described as “very high” due to the significant value placed on their training.
Inspectors also recognised the academy’s dedication to personal development and safeguarding, stating that apprentices “feel safe in all aspects of their studies” and benefit from robust support for both academic achievement and character development.
Principal Jim Bailey said, “We are pleased that our apprenticeship programme has been recognised as Outstanding in every category. This achievement reflects the exceptional commitment of our staff, the dedication of our apprentices, and the valuable partnerships we maintain with dedicated and passionate employer partners. At The JCB Academy, we remain committed to providing an industry-focused education that prepares learners with the skills, character, and confidence necessary for success in their chosen careers.”
