On Thursday, 22 January, two teams of learners from The JCB Academy who are taking part in this year’s STEM Racing Competition had the opportunity to visit The Bugatti Trust Museum and Study Centre
The visit began with an introduction to the history of Bugatti and its iconic cars from the 1920s and 1930s, followed by a guided tour of the museum. Learners explored a fascinating collection of artefacts, including an archive of original Bugatti designs and technical drawings, offering a unique insight into the engineering heritage of the brand.
As part of the visit, learners also presented their own STEM Racing car designs to a panel of expert judges, receiving valuable professional feedback to support the development of their projects. This experience gave learners an excellent opportunity to practise presenting to an expert audience and to gain confidence in communicating their ideas.
The teams thoroughly enjoyed the day and came away with a deeper understanding of engineering design, motorsport heritage, and the importance of professional presentation.
