We have recently started a six week STEM project with Walton Priory Middle School, Stone. Walton Priory will come into the academy every other Wednesday to take part in a variety of STEM based activities. These STEM based activities will include:
- Electronics – learners will make a portable boom-box speaker from a kit form and learn about electronic circuit boards, transistors, etc. and how to solder.
- Structures – focusing on triangulation – learners will build a structure to hold a given load.
- STEM Pathways – learners will receive guidance and information on STEM careers and what pathways they can take to get there.
