What an incredible day for our U16 Netball Team, who represented The JCB Academy at the National Schools County Netball Championships at Denstone College yesterday!
This was the first time our academy has ever competed at this level, and the standard of netball across all teams was outstanding. Despite facing strong opposition, our girls rose to the challenge with determination, teamwork, and spirit.
With only around 20% of learners at the academy being female, we are especially proud of how our team stepped up and competed so confidently on a national stage. Their attacking play was superb, scoring 32 goals across six matches, and they finished the tournament on a high with a brilliant 14–0 victory, securing 9th place overall.
Every player gave their all, showing resilience, skill, and pride in representing The JCB Academy. A fantastic achievement and a huge step forward for girls’ sport at the academy!
