Today, we say goodbye to Miss Saunders, our Specialist Learning Support Assistant (English), as she retires after an incredible 15 years at The JCB Academy.
Joining us in 2010, on the first day that the academy opened, Miss Saunders has been a cornerstone of our community, bringing unwavering dedication, warmth, and humor to every learner she supported. Her bubbly personality and passion for helping others have left a lasting impact on both learners and colleagues alike.
In her time here, Miss Saunders has changed countless lives, including Harry, a learner who joined Year 10 in 2011 unable to read. Less than 18 months later, thanks to her incredible support, Harry achieved a Grade C in English—a testament to her extraordinary commitment to education and the belief she instilled in every learner that she supported.
Miss Saunders, your love for teaching and the learners has shaped the academy in ways words cannot express. We thank you for everything and wish you a well-earned, happy, and fulfilling retirement!
