Mitchell gained an A in business and a B in mathematics, science and both English literature and English language. There were other great apprenticeship achievements: Roy Lowes secured an engineering apprenticeship at Volkswagen in Derby, Christopher Golding gained an engineering apprenticeship at Bri-Stor Systems in Hixon and Harry Meyrick secured an apprenticeship at KMF in Newcastle-under-Lyme
