Top performing learners from The JCB Academy included:
Isabel Fitzgerald from Hilton in Derby, who gained an impressive eight GCSEs: seven A*s and one A. Isabel also gained an OCR level 2 distinction* and two OCR level 2 merits in the engineering related subjects. A delighted Isabel said: “I’m so happy with my results, they’re so much better than I ever could have hoped for!”
Oliver Morgan from Oakamoor, who also gained eight GCSEs: three A*s, four As and a B. Oliver also gained two OCR level 2 distinctions, one level 2 merit and a level 2 pass in the engineering related subjects. Oliver was over-joyed with his results, saying: “I’m extremely pleased with my results. Two years ago I could have never imagined that I would get A* in both English literature and English language! Amazing – I could not have wished for better results.”
Ethan Dakin from Stoke-on-Trent, who gained three A*s, three As, one B, one C. Ethan also gained two OCR level 2 distinctions, one merit and one pass in the engineering related subjects.
Harry Jones from Ashbourne gained two A*s, five As, one C and four OCR level 2 grades, two as a merit and two at a pass level. Ben Jones from Derby gained seven As and one B at GCSE level and two distinctions and two merits at OCR level 2 grade.
