Your Challenges
Over half term, we are challenging you to either write a short story or write a review of book or magazine you have recently read.
All learners who enter will receive 15 house points.
Entries will be put on display in the Academy to show off your creativity, and to also encourage others to read for pleasure.
All entries will be judged and the best short story and the best review will receive a prize.
100 Word Stories
Challenge: Write a 100 word story inspired by the image.
Closing Date: 28th February 2022
The Rules:
- Your story must be exactly 100 words
- Your story must have some link to the image.
- The more imaginative the better!
- Your idea must be original – no plagiarising.

Write a review
Challenge: Write a review of a book or a magazine you have read recently.
Closing Date: 28th February 2022
The Rules:
- Must be based on a book or a magazine (it can be fiction or non-fiction)
- Your review should be no more than 200 words
- You should include a summary of the book/magazine
- Explain why you enjoyed the book/magazine
- Include a star rating
