One of our new out-of-school activities is a Caterham kit car build.
Learners have a great opportunity to build a Caterham kit car, which needs to be assembled to enable it to pass an IVA. The kit car itself is a Caterham 170s worth £24,000. It has a 660cc engine with a BHP per tonne equivalent to that of a modern-day Golf GTI. The Caterham project is open to all years both pre-16 and post-16. This activity will allow learners to be part of a unique team working together to assemble this iconic car, enabling them to develop both hands-on mechanical and project management skills.
