The JCB Academy is thrilled to continue its partnership with Stoke City FC, bringing to life an exciting real-time business challenge.
In this academic year, our Year 10 learners are embarking on a unique journey as part of their Business studies curriculum right here at the academy. The challenge at hand revolves around the highly anticipated match against Sunderland, scheduled for the 21st of October.
Our learners, divided into groups of four, have a mission: to sell tickets for this thrilling fixture. Stoke City FC has generously allocated hundreds of tickets, priced at £5 each (for U18s) and £20 (for adults), for our learners to market and sell to their family, friends, and colleagues. The group that achieves the highest sales will be rewarded with an exclusive hospitality package during the Sunderland match. But that’s not all – every participating learner will also receive a complimentary ticket to join in the excitement on matchday.
The learners have a clear set of responsibilities:
- Allocation of roles within their groups, including Team Leader, Sales Director, Finance Director, and Marketing Director.
- Creation of an engaging marketing campaign.
- Development of an effective sales pitch.
- Maximising ticket sales through their collective efforts.
- Regular generation of weekly reports, which will be submitted to Stoke City to track their progress.
