On Thursday, 30 June The JCB Academy held it’s annual Awards Evening to celebrate the achievements of learners from the academy, sixth form and apprenticeship programme, for both academic and personal achievements.
The awards event was held at JCB World Headquarters, where Mark Turner, JCB Chief Operating Officer, presented the awards to the winning learners. The individual awards were sponsored by some of The JCB Academy’s partners including: Bosch Rexroth, JCB, Parker Hannifin Sales UK, Rolls-Royce, Toyota, Continental Engineering Services, Bugatti Trust and JCB Finance.
There was a terrific atmosphere on the night with over 220 guests attending, comprising of learners, parents, staff, governors and corporate partners. The winning students were awarded a variety of prizes; some received cash prizes ranging from £50-100, Parker Sales UK gave away a top of the range Apple iPad as one of their prizes. The Y11 Learner of the Year award, awarded to the learner who achieved most nominations across every category, demonstrating their all-round capabilities and determination to succeed, was Jennifer Dainty.
