Yesterday marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for girls’ sport at The JCB Academy, as our Year 9 learners, joined by a few enthusiastic Year 10s, played their very first competitive football match representing the academy.
For many of the team, this was not only their first time wearing the academy badge on the pitch, but their first ever game of football. What they lacked in experience, they more than made up for in team spirit, determination, and courage. Every learner gave their all, showing the kind of resilience and commitment that truly represents what The JCB Academy stands for.

While this opening match brought our County Cup journey to a close, it marks the beginning of something much bigger, the start of a new era for girls’ football at The JCB Academy. We’re already looking forward to the next tournament before Christmas and can’t wait to see how this fantastic team continues to grow.
