The JCB Academy Sixth Form has once again demonstrated its commitment to nurturing exceptional talent, as learners celebrate another year of outstanding results, opening doors to an array of promising career opportunities through prestigious university courses and degree apprenticeships. Mrs McGuirk, Principal of The JCB Academy, shared her joy in stating, “Congratulations to all our Y13 learners. I am tremendously proud that all your hard work has paid off and wish you the very best on the next stage of your career. You have achieved outstanding results this year, with over a third of you accepting places on degree apprenticeships with world leading companies including JCB and Rolls-Royce. It’s also great to see so many accepting first choice offers for university courses this year. Your achievements would not be possible without the support and commitment from truly brilliant JCB Academy staff and Trustees who share in your elation and look forward to hearing more about your future success.”

Breaking previous records, this year marks a significant milestone for The JCB Academy Sixth Form as it witnesses an unprecedented surge in the number of higher and degree apprenticeships offers. Notably, this year’s achievement is especially noteworthy for young women, with a record number embarking on business and engineering higher and degree level apprenticeships, highlighting the academy’s commitment to promoting gender diversity in these fields.

Reflecting on this success, Mr Stanmore, Director of The JCB Academy Sixth Form, expressed his pride, saying, “I am immensely proud of our continued success in delivering engineering and business leaders of the future. Today it has been a privilege to be part of the celebrations, with so many learners embarking on degree apprenticeships or going off to university to study engineering, science and business courses. The success of our learners is testament to their hard work but also to the positive relationships between our staff and learners. Collectively, we wish all learners every success as they embark on the next stage of their career”.

The JCB Academy Sixth Form, located in Rocester, Staffordshire, offers specialised pathways in Engineering and Business, alongside a select range of STEM based A-levels. Drawing learners from across Staffordshire and Derbyshire, the academy continues to provide unparalleled educational opportunities, with approximately 40% of its intake comprising external students.
