For learners anticipating studying A-level Mathematics these are very challenging times indeed. The step up to A-level Mathematics is huge and often causes a great deal of stress and anxiety early on in the course. It would normally be crucial to continue preparing for this challenge but in the current circumstances this is even more important.
We must encourage those learners intending studying A-level Mathematics next year to independently spend time focusing on the following – all resources have supporting materials and solutions available:

Corbett Maths – https://corbettmaths.com/more/further-maths/ – these are topics which bridge the gap and appropriate for those that would be expecting Grade 8+ and wanting to get a head start with some underpinning A-level work
Corbett Maths 5 a day – https://corbettmaths.com/5-a-day/gcse/ – HIGHER PLUS targets varied Grade 8/9 GCSE topics each and every day with worked solutions available.
Optional additional resource (cost £30) – Complete Maths are running a virtual school course of 30 lessons supporting learners making the transition to A-level Maths. There is an additional cost of £30 for this which works out at £1 per 2 hour lesson. These are fixed virtual sessions on Tuesdays at 3:30 pm commencing on 14/04/2020 until 21/07/2020.

At the beginning of May we will share the first set of compulsory transition materials to support learners in being well prepared for the challenge of A-level Maths – again, these would be used each year but carry additional significance given the current circumstances.
