Industry Placements

Shaping Future Talent Through Meaningful Work Experience

Industry placements are a core component of the T-Level qualification at The JCB Academy. Each placement lasts a minimum of 315 hours (approximately 45 days) and is designed to offer learners hands-on, real-world experience while being structured to suit both the employer and the academy.

These placements give learners the time and opportunity to develop the skills, behaviours, and confidence needed to thrive in the workplace. We work closely with each employer to match the right learner(s) to the right opportunity—whether through assessments, applications, interviews, or a tailored combination.

Why Host an Industry Placement?

Partnering with us to host a placement offers a range of benefits for your organisation:

  • Staff Development – Provide valuable mentoring and leadership opportunities for managers and aspiring managers.
  • Recruitment Pipeline – Identify and nurture future talent, streamlining your hiring process and reducing onboarding time.
  • Fresh Ideas & Perspectives – Learners bring enthusiasm, creativity, and new ways of thinking that can energise your team.
  • Diversity & Inclusion – Engage with young people from a variety of backgrounds and help build a more inclusive workforce.
  • Address Skills Gaps – Support the development of technical skills your industry needs, helping to close national shortages.
  • Community Impact – Play an active role in supporting local education and shaping the future of your community.
  • Strategic Partnership – Build a lasting relationship with a leading provider of technical education and innovation.

We believe that industry placements are transformative—for learners and employers alike. If you’re ready to explore how a placement could work for your organisation, we’d love to start the conversation.
