Our Y9 learners have had a brilliant day at Harper Adams!
They've enjoyed a range of activities including 🏃 sports, 📊 business and maths challenges, 🔧 engineering projects, and 🤝 team-building exercises. It’s been great to see everyone getting involved, trying new things, and working together.

Y12 begins Their Sixth Form Journey at The JCB Academy
Today, we are excited to welcome our Y12 learners to The JCB Academy as they take the next step in their education and begin their Sixth Form experience.
The day starts with a Welcome Assembly, where learners will be introduced to Sixth Form life at The JCB Academy, meet key members of staff and gain an understanding of the opportunities that lie ahead. Learners will also receive an overview of Academy expectations, helping them to make a positive and successful start to their post-16 studies.
Y12 is a significant step forward, bringing greater independence, responsibility and opportunity. From day one, there will be a strong focus on:
📖 Developing effective study habits
🏫 Building subject knowledge
🏆 Preparing for the challenges and rewards of Sixth Form learning.
As an engineering and business-focused academy, we are committed to helping our learners develop the skills, knowledge and professional behaviours needed for successful future careers. Whether their ambitions lead them to university, apprenticeships or employment, the foundations they build this year will play a vital role in shaping their future.

Y9 Residential Adventure Begins!
This morning, our Y9 learners set off for their three-day residential visit to Harper Adams University!
While it may have been a slightly damp start to the day, the weather certainly didn't dampen spirits. 😊 Learners arrived excited, enthusiastic and ready to embark on what promises to be a fantastic experience.
The residential provides a wonderful opportunity for our learners to step outside of the classroom, challenge themselves, develop their independence and, perhaps most importantly, make new friendships and strengthen existing ones. Over the next few days, they will take part in a range of engaging activities, creating memories that will last long after they return to The JCB Academy.
We hope everyone has an amazing time, embraces every opportunity and enjoys this exciting adventure. We look forward to hearing all about their experiences when they return!

Welcome Back, Y10!
Today we are delighted to welcome our Y10 learners back to The JCB Academy as they begin an exciting and important year in their educational journey.
The day started with a dedicated Welcome Back Assembly, where learners came together to hear about the opportunities, expectations and achievements that lie ahead. It was a chance to reconnect with friends, meet staff and set positive goals for the year ahead.
Following the assembly, our learners get back into academy life, returning to their studies and embracing the routines that will help them succeed. Y10 marks the beginning of an increasingly important stage of their GCSE journey, with a strong focus on developing knowledge, building confidence and establishing effective study habits.

🌟 A Warm Welcome to Our New Y9 Learners! 🌟
This morning, we were delighted to welcome our new Y9 learners to The JCB Academy for their very first day.
Looking incredibly smart in their academy uniforms and demonstrating excellent behaviour from the moment they arrived. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces as they begin their journey with us, ready to embrace new opportunities, meet new teachers, and make new friends.
We have a busy and exciting day planned, packed with activities designed to help learners get to know their new school, build confidence, and feel part of the JCB Academy community.
The adventure continues tomorrow as our Y9 cohort head to Harper Adams University for a three-day residential. This is a fantastic opportunity for learners to build new friendships, develop teamwork skills, and create lasting memories as they begin their academy journey together.

Welcome Back, Y11 and Y13!
As we begin a new academic year, today we are delighted to welcome back our Y11 and Y13 learners for what will be a significant and exciting year ahead.
The day starts with an early breakfast, giving learners the opportunity to catch up with friends and reconnect after the summer break. This will be followed by a welcome back assembly, where expectations, opportunities and ambitions for the year ahead will be shared. Learners will then receive their new timetables before returning straight into their normal lessons and learning routines.
Both Y11 and Y13 are entering important stages of their educational journey, and we look forward to supporting every learner as they work towards their qualifications, develop new skills and take the next steps towards their future careers.
