GCSE Results 2026
Students, staff and families at The JCB Academy are celebrating an exceptional set of examination results this summer, reflecting the hard work, determination and resilience of students, alongside the dedication and expertise of academy staff.
This year’s results demonstrate strong performance across a wide range of subjects, with students achieving impressive outcomes that will enable them to progress to ambitious next steps, including A Levels, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities.

“We are absolutely delighted with this year’s examination results at both pre and post 16. These achievements are a testament to the commitment shown by our students and the support provided by our staff and families.
Every grade represents hours of hard work and perseverance, and we are incredibly proud of what our students have accomplished. We look forward to seeing them continue to thrive as they move on to the next stage of their education, training and careers.”
GCSE results showed improvement compared to the previous year, with all subjects performing at or above national averages. Mathematics and Physics were particularly notable, as 31% of students in Mathematics and 37% in Physics attained the highest grades. 70% of learners achieved a grade of 4 or higher in English, while 76% attained a grade of 4 or higher in Mathematics.
The results highlight the Academy’s continued commitment to providing a high-quality technical and academic education, preparing young people for successful futures in engineering, business, and a wide range of professional careers.
Among the many success stories this year are:
- Hollie R, who achieved seven grade 9’s, two grade 8’s and one grade 7 and will progress to The JCB Academy Sixth Form to study Biology, Maths and Business.
- Lalita R, who achieved Distinction* in Business, engineering manufacture and engineering design and will begin an apprenticeship with the RAF
- Ben O, who achieved one grade 9 and four grade 8’s as part of his qualifications and will progress to The JCB Academy Sixth Form to study Biology, Chemistry and Computer Science
