Parents Evenings

Introduction

At The JCB Academy, we value strong partnerships between home and school. Parents and carers play a vital role in supporting learners, and our Parents’ Evenings are designed to keep you informed and involved in your child’s education.

Throughout the academic year, we hold a series of events to share progress, provide guidance, and answer questions. These include:

  • Information Evenings – Formal presentations and a “market hall” style event where you can explore resources and speak to staff
  • Parent/Carer–Teacher Evenings – Focused one-to-one conversations about your child’s progress, scheduled throughout the year. These events are planned and communicated in advance as part of the academy calendar

Dates for these events are communicated at the start of each academic year, and further information will be sent out via our communication system closer to the events. Please check regularly for updates.

How to Book Your Appointments

We use SchoolCloud, an online booking system that allows you to choose convenient appointment times with teachers.

  • Invitations to book appointments will be sent to you by our Admin Team as we approach each event
  • Once booked, you’ll receive an email confirmation
  • When logging in, please use your child’s preferred name as provided during admission

Why We Do It This Way

We believe in creating an open learning environment and maintaining strong relationships with parents and carers. Our approach ensures:

  • Clear communication about learner progress
  • Opportunities for parents and carers to visit the academy in person
  • Opportunities to access resources and guidance beyond traditional meetings
