We have recently returned from an amazing week of skiing in Switzerland. We took nearly 50 learners for six days of skiing and had amazing weather and tonnes of snow! Learners are still buzzing from the trip and already asking what our plans are for next year.
We are pleased to confirm that we have already booked next year’s ski trip for the February 2021 half-term break. The trip will depart on Friday, 12 February 2021 and return on Saturday, 20 February 2021.
We will be staying in the Ski Jumping Hotel in the Milky Way resort. This is an incredible resort and location and is actually the resort we visited nearly ten years ago on the Academy’s first Ski Trip. The cost of the trip is £1,375 but is subject to change based on final numbers. The trip includes:
- Luxury return coach travel, departing from The JCB Academy
- Six nights’ full-board accommodation (including hot lunches on the mountain)
- Six days’ lift pass
- Hire of ski boots/skis/poles/helmets
- 30 hrs of ski instruction
- Full programme of evening entertainment
*The only additional cost will be for the hire or purchase of ski clothing, if required, and a small amount of spending money. Learners will also have the option to attend the Stoke Ski Centre and Tamworth Snow Dome leading up to the skip trip as part of their Extension Activity, the cost of this is approximately £100.
Over the past few years the après-ski programme has included ice-skating, bum-boarding, swimming, a trip into a local town to watch Six Nations rugby and Champions League football, 5-a-side football, disco nights, pizza nights at local restaurants, tobogganing, ice hockey matches and a ride on an alpine coaster. These activities were all included in the cost of the trip.
A Parents’ Information Evening will be organised in September to provide further information and the opportunity for any questions that you may have.
Availability
There are limited places available for the trip. If we exceed this number, we will be pulling names out of a hat to allocate places. We will then create a reserve list for the remaining learners. You can apply for a place on the link below.
Payment
If your son/daughter is successful in securing a place, you will be able to pay for the trip in full or in installments following the specified payment plan via ParentPay (details to follow), which must be adhered to in order to retain the place on the trip. If you decide to pull out of the trip at any point, a refund will only be issued if a replacement is found.
