Learners complete two hours and 30 minutes of Physical Education per week. The curriculum covered gives learners the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports including football, rugby, volleyball, basketball, softball, cricket, athletics, netball, rounders, table tennis and aerobics.
If learners have a keen interest in sport they have the option of selecting a sporting activity for their extension activity which would mean they complete an additional 4 hours of sport on top of their Physical Education lesson each week.
We have house sports competitions held during the last Wednesday of every term in a variety of sports and these competitions are open to all learners.
Sports Leaders is a qualification we offer and we have links with Rocester FC, Leicester Tigers and Sale Sharks. During the year we offer a range of trips including Champions League and Premier League Football games at Manchester United and Stoke City, Rugby fixtures at Sale Sharks, Leicester Tigers and International fixtures and we also offer a ski trip each year.
We have boys and girls teams that compete on a weekly basis and use Rocester FC as our home football ground.
